Welcome to El Pueblo Unido, a podcast dedicated to amplifying Latino voices, driving local advocacy, and sparking meaningful conversations across Georgia.
Brought to you by GALEO and the GALEO Impact Fund, our show brings you straight into the heart of the community. Each month, we trade formal interviews for intimate, “kitchen table” conversations. We pair a different GALEO team member with an inspiring local leader or policy expert for a deep, one-on-one dive into the stories and issues that matter most to our community’s growth.
Join us for a powerful conversation with Eddie Taveras, Director of the Democratic National Committee Latino Coalitions and a leading political strategist shaping policy for Latino communities.
We discussed the actions and policies impacting the Latino community under the Trump administration, from federal and local policy shifts to legislative advocacy efforts that matter. 🎧 Don’t miss this special episode with insights, strategy, and real talk on what’s at stake.
We are thrilled to welcome three extraordinary women—Gigi Pedraza, Melissa Bayardelle, and Diana Howell—as special guests on our upcoming podcast episode!
Gigi Pedraza from the Latino Community Fund (LCF Georgia) shared her deep wisdom on advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and raising daughters with purpose and pride. Melissa Bayardelle, the first Latina councilwoman in Hiram, Georgia, brought insight into civic leadership and breaking barriers. And Diana Howell, an Afro-Latina changemaker born in Cali, Colombia, offered heartfelt reflections on navigating identity, leadership, and motherhood in the Latino community. 💪🏽🌎
