Norcross, GA – The GALEO Impact Fund stands in full solidarity with Daniela Joly Serrano Landin, a brave Colombian asylum seeker who was recently released on bond after an unjust detention by ICE. Daniela has followed all legal procedures in her asylum case and has shown nothing but integrity and resilience in the face of a deeply flawed immigration system. Her sudden detention and separation from her family was an outrageous injustice that reflects the need for urgent reform in how our nation treats those fleeing violence and seeking safety. Daniela’s courage and the love shown by her family and community are reminders of the human cost of broken immigration policies.
We are proud to support community members like Daniela. The GALEO Impact Fund will continue to advocate for policies that honor all Georgians’ dignity, rights, and due process, regardless of status.
