Even though it’s been three decades since any legislation regarding gun safety has been passed, we are excited that Congress has proven they can come together and pass meaningful legislation. By supporting this bill, we honor the victims of El Paso, Uvalde, and Orlando, and we will support any future legislation to prevent the disproportionate impact of gun violence on Brown, Black, AAPI, LGBTQA+ and other marginalized communities. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. It’s time to do the same with immigration and voting rights!
