Voting Rights

A democracy’s most sacred right is the right to vote. The vote is under attack in Georgia. SB202 allows state-level officials to effectively steal an election by usurping the powers of local election boards. In 2022, the GALEO Impact Fund will continue to fight for fair and just election laws during the 2022 Legislative Session.

  • Politicians keep or lose their jobs depending on voters. When our community goes to vote, we remind them that they need to keep our community in mind when writing and voting on laws because we directly impact their continued employment.
  • There’s no need to have a false dichotomy between voting and making a difference in our community. These things are not mutually exclusive. Voting is one step that grows our community’s power in a big way and can help improve our material conditions!

If you are not registered to vote, you can register here. The first form helps us track our work to see who we have helped register to vote and helps us fight against efforts to take away your voting rights, and the second form will register you to vote in Georgia!
